Sapa Ethnic Market Day Trip

Arrive in Lao Cai Train Station at around 6:00. Local guide will be waiting for you at Lao Cai Station then our bus transfer to a local restaurant for breakfast. (optional). Then start our drive to Bac Ha Town. Bac Ha Market, located in the heart of Bac Ha Town, is the largest market in the area. Every Sunday, ethnic minority people in colorful costume from different tribal villages come to sell their homemade products or buy something for the family. Have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we drive downhill toward Lao Cai for about half an hour. We stop on the way to take a short walk to Trung Do Village inhabited by Tay people. Stop by a traditional Tay house for a cup of tea before taking a boat cruise upstream the Chay River. The boat trip will end at Bao Nhai Bridge where our vehicle will be waiting for you for the journey back to Lao Cai. Tour ends at around 16:00.

Activities: Pickup when arrive at Lao Cai Train Station. Then drive to Bac Ha Town to attend the weekly fair. Take time to wander around the market, enjoy the atmosphere and have fun trying out your trading skills with the friendly local people.

In the afternoon, drive to Trung Do Village and take a boat cruise upstream the Chay River. The boat trip will end at Bao Nhai Bridge, disembark and transfer by car to Sapa or Lao Cai.

Bac Ha Market

Upon arrival at Lao Cai Train Station, you will be pick up by our bus and local guide then transferred to Muong Hum Market. After spending the whole morning exploring the market, have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Muong Vi Cave (if weather is fine). Then we get on our bus back to Lao Cai. End of tour.

Activities: Pick up then transfer to Muong Hum. We visit this very interesting local market frequented by Tu Di, Dao Tuyen, H’Nhi, Flower Hmong and Giay minorities. Have lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we will visit Muong Vi caves if weather permits. End of tour, get on bus back to Lao Cai or Sapa.

Muong Khum market

Upon arrival at Lao Cai Train Station, you will be picked up by our bus and local guide then transferred to Coc Ly Market located by the Chay River. You will arrive in the market by the time when it is the most crowded. After visiting the market, take a boat trip downstream. Stop halfway to visit Trung Do, a village of the Tay minority people. Take time to explore the village and farms. Continue boat down stream to Bao Nhai village and have a late lunch in a local restaurant.

After lunch drive back to Sapa or Lao Cai. Tour ends.
