Running away from the hustle and bustle of Hanoi capital, let leave it for a while and join our cycling tour to the countryside with traditional handicraft villages and pagodas for some refreshments. This day trip will take you to one of the most famous pottery villages in Vietnam called Bat Trang and the only folk-painting village in Vietnam named Dong Ho. The trip also includes a detour to one of the most remarkable pagodas in North Vietnam called But Thap Pagoda.
8:00 Our bus and tour guide pick you up at your Hanoi Hotel then drive to Bat Trang Pottery Village. Here, you will visit the village temple, typical house-cum-workshop where you will can learn how to make a ceramic product, and the village ceramic market. Bat Trang, the seven-century old pottery village, is an interesting attraction in Hanoi that tourists should not ignore.
12:00 Have lunch in a local Restaurant with local Vietnamese traditional cuisines.
14:00: Transfer to But Thap Pagoda, explore the architeture, the stone stupa in pen shaped, antique buddhist statues, especially the 'one thousand eyes and arms Goodess of Mercy' wooden statue. Finally head to the village of Dong Ho Village, where you can explore the unique art of Dong Ho Paintings and learn the traditional Vietnamese arts of wood carving and sculpture. Dong Ho Village with its famous paintings has become an aesthetic symbol in Vietnam culture. Located to the left side of Duong River, Dong Ho stood for centuries making their unique art work.
