After breakfast, transfer to airport to catch flight to Sittwe. Arrival at airport in Sittwe, transfer to hotel. Relax for a while before sightseeing tour around thetown. Visit Payagyi Temple, Cultural Museum and Sittwe Market where people come to buy and sell fishes and other farming products. Transfer to hotel and overnight in Sittwe.

Breakfast at hotel. Then you’ll be transferred to the Sittwe jetty where you’ll board a private boat to Mrauk U. Sit back and relax as you travel upstream on the Kaladan River. The journey can take up to 5 hours depending upon the current and water level. You’ll arrive at the ancient merchant city of Mrauk U at around midday. Once the wealthiest city in all of Asia, Mrauk U served as the capital of the Arakanese Kingdom from the 15th to 18th century. Afternoon, you’ll take a tour of some of the most interesting places and important religious monuments of medieval Mrauk U, such as local market, ruins of the Royal Palace, the Archaeological Museum, the massive Shite-thaung Temple - the most important monument in Mrauk U, Htaukkhan-Thein Temple, Andaw Thein Temple and Yadanabon Stupa. Transfer to hotel and overnight in Mrauk U.

Mrauk U

After breakfast, drive to jetty to take a scenic boat trip to visit remote Chin tribal villages, known for ethnic women with tattooed faces. (As tattooing custom is stopped, you can see mostly elderly women with tattoo nowadays.) En route, take advantage of the chance to sit back and observe the unique lifestyles along the river. Explore the village and interact with locals to discover their customs and life style. Late afternoon, return to Mrauk U. (Packed lunch is highly recommended.)

In the morning, tour guide will meet you at your hotel to start your interesting discovery of Yangon. The sightseeing tour start with visit to the old colonial-style city center with City Hall, Maha Bandula Park with Independence Monument, Strand road and Yangon Jetty by Car. Then continue visit to Botataung Pagoda and Ahma Mya Nan Nwe, a devotee to the Botahtaung Pagoda. She was known to be a dragon guarding the pagoda. Later visit Bogyoke Aung San Market, closed on Monday, formally known as Scott Market, where you can buy literally all sorts of items from luxury goods, handicrafts, food stuff, clothing, jewelry to consumer goods...

Afternoon, visit to Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda with the colossal reclining Buddha. Then we make a short stop at the Royal Lake where we can admire the view of the Karaweik Hall overlooking this scenic lake. Finally, visit world famous Shwedagon Pagoda, witness the golden dome light up at the sunset. After tour, transfer to your hotel or airport.
